Summer Programs

Summer Math Program

As we all know learning is a continuous, life-long process for children, as well as, for adults.
With that in mind St. Mary's has developed a Summer Math Program for each grade level.
Each child will receive a Math packet the last week of school.
The packet will consist of activities and worksheets reinforcing the skills they have learned during the current school year.
There will also be a list of skills your child should become familiar with for the upcoming school year.
The children should complete this work at their own pace over the summer and return it to their new teacher in September.
This will be considered the first homework assignment for the next school year.

When the children return to school in September they will be having a test on all of the skills they've learned
from the previous school year. This will count as their first Math grade.

Parents, please continue to help your child grow and learn over the summer. It makes a world of difference.
The children will return to school in September feeling confident and ready to learn!

Summer Reading Program

The Summer Reading Program is one of the intricate parts of the action plan
St. Mary has in place for our upcoming Middle States Evaluation. Each teacher
has planned activities for eachof the books that are listed
and will implement them in September of the next school year.
Parents are asked for their cooperation in helping the children take his task seriously.
Assure them that they can work at their own pace but it is their responsibility
to have the books read before the first day of school.

Summer Camp

What's the best thing about summer? Summer Camp! It's time to register for our Summer Camp Program.
The Program consists of indoor and outdoor activities, crafts and water play. We will be taking occasional trips to the
movies, Blimpies, Dairy Queen and More! Everyone is welcome to register as long as they are at least (3) years of age

parents, unless otherwise noted. For all questions regarding registration, forms, and fees please contact Mrs. G in the main office at (201) 933-8410. We hope to see you all this summer!
