St. Mary Elementary School is located at
72 Chestnut St.
in suburban Rutherford, NJ.

St. Mary Elementary School shares its campus with St. Mary High School.
The campus parking lot is located on Home Avenue.

The school is conveniently situated close to Routes 17,46,3, and 21.
It is also located 8 miles west of New York City, 12 miles from
Newark International Airport, 2 miles from the NJ Turnpike and 4 miles from the Garden State Parkway

Below are the directions for your first visit to our campus

>From Garden State Parkway

Exit Route 3 east (153 A). Follow Route 3 east until you cross the Passaic River Bridge. Take the first exit after the bridge-Park Ave. At ramp stop sign, turn left and another left to cross over Route 3 - you will be on Park Avenue in Rutherford. Continue on Park Ave. and make a left at the monument onto West Passaic Ave. Drive for one block to Home Ave. Turn right at Home Avenue. Cross Elliott Place and Fairview Ave. Entrance to campus parking Lot is located on the right.

From Route 17 South

Take Route 17 south to Rutherford. At traffic light at Burger King, turn right to Highland Cross. Continue on Highland Cross as far as you can go (the Board of Health building will be directly in front of you). Turn right and proceed to monument. Turn left onto West Passaic Avenue Take first right onto Home Ave. Cross Elliott Place and Fairview Ave. Entrance to campus parking Lot is located on the right.

>From NYC via Lincoln Tunnel

Take Lincoln Tunnel to New Jersey. Leaving Tunnel continue on ramp heading west on Route 495. Keep to right for 1 mile until you see signs for Route 3 west. Stay on Route 3 west for approximately 6-7 miles until and exit at Park Avenue, Rutherford. Go north on Park Avenue. Turn left on West Passaic Avenue, take first right onto Home Ave. Cross Elliott Place and Fairview Ave. Entrance to campus parking Lot is located on the right.

>From Route 80 East

Take exit #53 to Route 46 east. Take Route 46 east to Route 3 east. Proceed on 3 east until you approach the Passaic River bridge. Take the first exit-Park Avenue-off the bridge. Take the first exit after the bridge. At ramp stop sign, turn left and another left to cross over Route 3 - you will be on Park Avenue in Rutherford. Continue on Park Ave. and make a right onto West Passaic Ave. Drive for one block to Home Ave. Turn right at Home Avenue. Cross Elliott Place and Fairview Ave. Entrance to campus parking Lot is located on the right.

>From Newark Airport /NJ Turnpike

Take the NJ Turnpike north to exit 16W. Take Route 3 west to Ridge Road Exit in Rutherford. Make a right turn on to Ridge Road and travel north to East Passaic Avenue. Make a left turn on E. Passaic Avenue. Cross over Park Avenue to West Passaic Ave. Turn right at Home Avenue. Cross Elliott Place and Fairview Ave. Entrance to campus parking Lot is located on the right.
